We completed our first participation in the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer 2026, one of the largest international youth football tournaments organized by Villarreal CF. The tournament brought together young footballers from different countries and academies within Villarreal’s global network, turning Valencia into a true hub of youth football. Our players were given a unique opportunity to be part of an event that united different cultures, playing styles, and generations connected through their passion for the game.
More Than a Tournament
The Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer is much more than a series of matches. As part of the program, participants had the opportunity to experience the full Villarreal Academy journey, including training sessions, matches, a visit to Estadio de la Cerámica, a tour of the club’s academy facilities, and the chance to connect with young players from around the world.
One of the highlights was the spectacular opening ceremony at Estadio de la Cerámica, where more than 8,000 spectators and over 4,000 participants created an unforgettable atmosphere filled with football spirit, unity, and respect, values that lie at the heart of both the tournament and Villarreal CF. A total of 204 teams paraded during the ceremony, creating a remarkable image of friendship and togetherness.
A Valuable Experience for Our Players
For our players, this was an opportunity to compete at a high level, gain new experiences, and discover what it truly means to be part of the international football community. The matches, friendships built with children from other countries, and the experience of living and training within the Villarreal CF environment will remain an important part of their development, not only as football players, but also as individuals.
