Villarreal Masters Academy is the club’s first official partner in the capital of Skopje

Villarreal CF continues its international expansion through the Villarreal Academy project with the opening of Villarreal Masters Academy. This collaboration is the club’s first in Macedonia, based in the capital city of Skopje, and thus offers unrivalled opportunities for players and coaches in Macedonia to be connected to a top European club in Villarreal CF.

Villarreal Masters Academy joins a number of academies worldwide that implement the innovative Villarreal CF methodology for the development of their young players and coaches, while also forming part of the pathway where players can travel to Spain for exclusive training experiences and professional opportunities.

Darko Glisic, program director of Villarreal Masters Academy, possesses an extensive background in professional football, having played for distinguished clubs such as Dinamo Tbilisi in Georgia and FC Vardar in Macedonia, as well as several others throughout Europe. During his time with FC Vardar, Glisic also competed in the UEFA Europa League group stages. His vast experience as a player, as well as true understanding of professional football standards and development pathways across Europe, give Villarreal Masters Academy a solid foundation that is now strengthened by the expertise of Villarreal CF.
